Job Description
WHAT’S WAITING FOR YOU?
Your work duties and responsibilities include:
- As part of the team, you translate customer requirements into clear technical solutions.
- You work with customers from the insurance industry across the DACH region, integrating our systems – msg.Life Factory and msg.Insurance Suite – into their IT environments.
- You analyse customer needs, identify their technical challenges, and turn them into specifications, functional documentation, and technical briefs for the development team.
- Across all of these tasks, you use German as your primary working language on a daily basis.
- You design and document system integrations, work with databases, data models, and data mapping – and know how to turn data into clear, actionable solutions.
- You participate in system configuration, the design of new features, and finding the most suitable technical solutions for customers.
- You prepare and deliver workshops, training sessions, and presentations focused on system functionality and insurance products.
- You connect the development and testing teams with the customer, ensuring smooth collaboration, clear communication, and outcomes that meet agreed standards.
- You analyse issues, propose improvements, and test solution functionality with a focus on quality and reliability.
- Over time, you take on ownership of your own areas or smaller projects.

Requirements for the applicant
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
Key skills (MUST HAVE):
- Completed education or degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT Analyst, or IT Product Specialist in software development
- Experience with interface concept design, working with databases and SQL, data modelling and data mapping, SOAP/REST Web Services, and XML
- Prior experience in the insurance industry
- Fluent German (minimum C1) – independent customer communication and preparation of technical documentation
We also appreciate (NICE TO HAVE):
- Ability to read and navigate Java code
- English skills an advantage (any level)
- Willingness to travel occasionally for international assignments (max. 10 days per year)
Salary and Benefits

- Salary from €2,600 gross per month – the exact amount depends on your experience and will be mutually agreed
