Business IT Consultant – Process Specialist

As a Business IT Consultant, you are primarily responsible for the following tasks:

• Creating technical specifications in German: you analyze the requirements of our insurance company customers and create technical specifications based on their needs and goals, which include a functional part and a technical assignment for the developers. You are the connecting element between the system users – customers and the software development.
• Consultations and workshops: you regularly communicate with the customer about their requirements. Your role is to create the functional specification, participate in the configuration and parameterization of our system, introduce new functionalities of our system and propose the most suitable solutions. You are also responsible for the preparation and implementation of workshops, trainings and presentations.
• Customer support and advice: you advise our customers on the deployment and customization of our system and on issues related to insurance products. You analyze error rates and create use cases.
• Testing and conception: you are involved in testing and conception of various topics and functions that are part of your work tasks.

MUST HAVE or YOUR KEY KNOWLEDGE

You have:

• minimum of a high school education in computer science, mathematics or related fields,
• at least 2 years of work experience as a Business Analyst, IT Analyst or IT Product Specialist in the field of software development.

You also have:

• analytical, logical and procedural thinking skills,
• excellent communication skills, which you will use in regular communication with the customer,
• ability to stylize content concisely and clearly,
• ability to communicate fluently in German at least at B2 (upper-intermediate) or C1 (advanced) level,
• a constant desire to improve your technical, professional and communication skills.

NICE TO HAVE

We will also appreciate if:

• you have previous experience in the testing and insurance industry,
• you know how to read Java code,
• you speak English as well as German,
• you are willing to undertake occasional business trips abroad (max. 10 days per year).

As a Business IT Consultant – Process Specialist, you will primarily use the following technologies and tools:

• JIRA,
• XML tools (PSPad, BeyondCompare),
• SQL Developer, SQuirreL SQL,
• MS Office + Teams.

• A minimum of a high school education in computer science, mathematics, or related field is required.
• Knowledge and a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Business Analyst/IT Analyst/IT Product Specialist.
• Excellent communication skills in German language B2/C1 level – regular communication with the customer, knowledge of English language – B2 level is welcome.
• Previous experience in the insurance industry is an advantage.
• Knowledge of reading Java code is also a great advantage.
• Willingness to undertake occasional business trips to German-speaking countries (up to a maximum of approximately 5 days per six months).
