Windows System Administrator responsibilities

  • Administration of Windows server infrastructure based on both physical and virtual machines.
  • Responsibility for central Windows patch management for server systems.
  • Responsibility for data backup and operation of storage environments (NetApp, Dell EMC2 Networker).
  • Second-level support, resolving error tickets and requests from our project areas.
  • Ensuring smooth operations and compliance with security regulations and data protection policies.
  • Participation in national and international IT infrastructure and IT projects.
  • Creating system documentation – adopting, creating, and implementing changes.
  • Updating existing (system) documentation and providing general Windows support.

Windows System Administrator job requirements

  • Previous professional experience in the field of Windows administration.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server administration.
  • Knowledge of application and server virtualisation and storage management.
  • Completed secondary or university education at bachelor’s or master’s level.
  • Good communication skills in German and English (minimum B2 level).
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Independence, responsibility, and reliability.
  • Logical and analytical thinking, flexibility, and precision.
  • Ability to work in a team and to follow a structured approach to tasks.
