Tasks for IT Project Manager Senior

• Independent planning, leading and controlling of assigned IT projects.
• You will ensure the achievement of targets and therefore the success of assigned projects – constantly monitoring deadlines and quality, costs and profitability, as well as customer satisfaction.
• You will take responsibility for communicating, maintaining and developing relevant customer relationships at all stages of the project.
• You will provide support in the preparation of bids, contract negotiations, as well as contract negotiations with our existing customers.
• As part of your role, you will be responsible for reporting on project status to the Programme and Project Managers.
• You will take charge of managing project teams and delegating tasks to sub-project managers and other directly assigned staff.
• Managing, controlling and evaluating the performance of staff assigned to the project and, where appropriate, sub-project leaders.
• You will be actively involved in the development of project management content and methodologies, as well as the optimization of project management tools and processes in our company.

Job Requirements for the position of IT Senior Project Manager

• Minimum of 5 years of work experience managing software projects in an IT or consulting company.
• Experience in covering the sw development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with both agile and waterfall methodologies to manage sw development an advantage.
• Successfully completed secondary or higher education I. or II. degrees.
• Professional knowledge, several years of practical experience and insight in project management, financial controlling and accounting.
• Very good knowledge of excel and Office 365.
• Advanced level of German (C1 level) + English (at least B1 level).
• Constructive, pragmatic and solution-oriented thinking and action.
• Persuasive manner, excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Customer orientation and high level of initiative.
• Sense of teamwork and ability to work under pressure.
• Independence, responsibility and flexibility.
• Willingness to travel to German-speaking countries.

• You will support the preparation of price offers, contract negotiations, and conclusion of contracts with our existing clients.
• Your responsibilities will also include reporting project status to programme and project management leads.
• You will manage project teams and delegate tasks to sub-project leads and other directly assigned employees.
• You will lead, supervise, and evaluate the performance of staff assigned to the project, including, where applicable, sub-project managers.
• You will actively contribute to the development of project management content and methodologies, as well as to the optimisation of project management tools and processes within our company.

• At least 5 years of experience in managing software projects in IT or in a consultancy firm.
• Experience in overseeing the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with both agile and waterfall software development methodologies is an advantage.
• Successfully completed secondary or university education (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
• Professional knowledge, several years of practical experience, and strong insight into project management, financial controlling, and accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Office 365.
• Excellent command of the German language (C1) and at least B1 level in English.
