IT Project Manager Senior responsibilities

  • You will independently plan, lead, and control assigned IT projects.
  • You will be responsible for achieving the objectives and thereby the success of the assigned projects – continuously monitoring deadlines and quality, costs and profitability, as well as customer satisfaction.
  • You will take responsibility for communication, maintaining, and developing relevant relationships with clients throughout all phases of the project.
  • You will support the preparation of price offers, contract negotiations, and conclusion of contracts with our existing clients.
  • Your responsibilities will also include reporting project status to programme and project management leads.
  • You will manage project teams and delegate tasks to sub-project leads and other directly assigned employees.
  • You will lead, supervise, and evaluate the performance of staff assigned to the project, including, where applicable, sub-project managers.
  • You will actively contribute to the development of project management content and methodologies, as well as to the optimisation of project management tools and processes within our company.

IT Project Manager Senior job requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in managing software projects in IT or in a consultancy firm.
  • Experience in overseeing the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with both agile and waterfall software development methodologies is an advantage.
  • Successfully completed secondary or university education (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
  • Professional knowledge, several years of practical experience, and strong insight into project management, financial controlling, and accounting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Office 365.
  • Excellent command of the German language (C1) and at least B1 level in English.
  • Constructive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented thinking and behaviour.
  • Confident demeanour, excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a high degree of initiative.
  • A sense of teamwork and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Independence, responsibility, and flexibility.
  • Willingness to travel to German-speaking countries.
