Service Delivery Manager responsibilities and job description

  • As a service delivery manager you will lead a team of specialists providing 2nd/3rd level support to customers in resolving incidents.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating regular system upgrades (approximately once a month).
  • You will maintain continuous contact with customers in both German and English, regularly communicating technical details.
  • In addition to working with clients and team members, you will also collaborate closely with subcontractors to ensure effective problem resolution, system maintenance, and end-user support.
  • You will coordinate incident resolution and take full responsibility for ensuring timely resolutions.
  • You will be expected to maintain an overview of production incidents, analyse team efficiency and incident costs, and ensure alignment with defined SLAs. These insights will then be reported further.
  • You will coordinate support during critical situations and manage urgent incident resolution.

Service Delivery Manager job requirements

  • Several years of previous work experience in a similar position is a must.
  • Experience in leading and managing multi-member teams.
  • Proficiency in German and English at B2/C1 level.
  • Ability to solve problems under pressure, particularly during critical incidents.
  • Willingness to respond quickly to unexpected issues.
  • Familiarity with Jira, knowledge of Cloud technologies, AWS, ServiceNow, and a general understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with analytical thinking.
  • Successfully completed secondary or university education (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
  • Independence, precision, and responsibility.
