Tasks and job description for the position of Jira Business Analyst

  • You will become our first point of contact for our departments and customers on our projects when developing Jira workflows and processes.
  • You will enhance our systems by analyzing, selecting and testing Jira plugins.
  • You will be responsible for configuring our Jira projects and coordinating them with internal and external stakeholders.
  • In addition, you will take responsibility for checking and testing Jira updates and plugins and for advising your colleagues on issues.
  • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining scripts in the context of Jira configuration and plugins.

Job requirements for Jira Business Analyst

  • Successfully completed secondary or higher (university) education,
    ideally in computer science or related field.
  • Senior experience with Jira administration and Jira workflow modeling, as well as an understanding of the importance of standards for Jira administration and Jira projects.
  • Ideal hands-on experience with scripting languages, preferably Groovy, ideally also Python and Perl.
  • Knowledge of appropriate project planning and flexibility for new tasks or changed priorities.
  • German – upper-intermediate (B2 level) and English – upper-intermediate (B2 level).
  • Constructive, pragmatic and solution-oriented thinking, autonomy and responsibility.
  • Sense of teamwork, very good communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional business travel (approximately 2-5 times per year for 2 days).
